Real estate in Victoria was part of my upbringing, and has always been a part of my life. My mother, Tove Barlow gets some credit for that. She successfully sold real estate in Victoria for 38 years. I followed in my mother's footsteps and started my real estate career in 1993 at Newport Realty. Real Estate is in my blood.

Being from a real estate family Michael has always had a keen interest in the real estate profession which over the past 35 years has led to involvement at all levels of Organized Real Estate – the Victoria Real Estate Board (VREB), the British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA) and the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA). Michael is our go to manager when things get rough. We count on his experience and council.
